In most TV shows and Movies wolfsbane is a herb of some kind that is extremely toxic to werewolves

Wolfsbane has a similar effect on werewolves as vervain does on vampires. When ingested, wolfsbane causes a werewolf to become severely weak and feverish. Although, if a werewolf’s skin is exposed to wolfsbane, it can result in burning them just like vervain has the effect on vampires.
